Children who are breastfed for four months or more develop fewer behaviour problems, Oxford researchers say.
The study, involving 10,000 mothers and their babies and in journal Archives of Disease in Childhood, says that may be because of the make-up of breast milk.
Or, it says, breastfeeding may lead to better mother-baby interaction.
Breastfeeding is already associated with other health benefits for babies, including lower rates of infection and less obesity in later life.
Researchers looked at the feeding habits of 10,037 mothers and their babies involved in a large study known as theMillennium Cohort Study.

It doesn’t make any sense to not breastfeed. From the standpoint of your baby’s health, their development, and now apparently their behavior, breastmilk is far superior to formula. If you use formula, you also miss out on the incredible bonding that takes place when you breastfeed.
probably true but there is a limit or there should be. i know of one mother who was breastfeeding her little girl when she was 4 and maybe after that. i have not seen them for years and they live in canada and i live in thailand. i can remember them visiting us and the kid [not her fault i guess] was trying to get into her mother’s blouse when we were all seated around the pool talking. it sure made me uncomfortable. i suppose many people would say that is my problem. and you’re probably right only i am a dude and i really don’t want to see the breast of my friend’s wife. as i say there should be a time limit on breast feeding.
